About Immigration GPT

Immigration GPT is a free, anonymous immigration assistant built for immigrants in Massachusetts. It answers questions about everyday immigration life in plain language and in nine languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, French, Hindi, and Greek.

The app helps with the questions that come up constantly for newcomers: what documents are needed for an immigration case, how to apply for a work permit, where to find free or low-cost legal aid, how to get emergency housing or food assistance, how to open a bank account, and how to enroll children in school. It also explains tenant rights and other protections that apply here in Massachusetts.

Immigration GPT is built to be safe first. Answers about irreversible or time-sensitive decisions always lead with a clear warning, and questions about laws, government programs, and organizations are answered from a verified database of records, so the contact details and program facts you see were checked against the records rather than invented. Nothing here requires an account, a name, or an email: your onboarding profile is stored anonymously on your device and used only to tailor answers to your situation.

The app is built and maintained by the Immigration GPT team, a small group focused on making trustworthy immigration guidance available to everyone, in their own language, without cost or barriers. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice; for decisions that change your immigration status, always confirm next steps with a qualified immigration attorney or an official source such as uscis.gov or mass.gov.
